Is there heating and air conditioning?

The ceremony/dancing side of the barn does have air conditioning. If turned on, the windows and doors must remain closed. The dinner side of the barn does not have air conditioning, but does have floor to ceiling sliding doors and windows to maximize air flow.

We do have two large standing fans to be placed strategically around the venue as well as several smaller fans to help circulate airflow.

The upstairs suite and cowboy room do have heat and air conditioning. These will be turned on and adjusted by Rivercrest Farm staff members only. Please keep doors closed.

The main area of the barn does have radiant heating available. There are three standing heaters for outdoor use. Propane tanks are not provided and must be brought in.

Additional air conditioning units or heaters can be rented from an outside vendor. Please see the vendors list.

How many bathrooms are there?

There are guest bathrooms on the dinner side of the barn. The men's bathroom has one stall and a urinal. The women's bathroom has three stalls. Also, there is a family/handicap bathroom on the dinner side of the barn. Bathrooms are stocked with disposable hand towels, soap, hand sanitizer.

The cowboy room has a full bath with shower. The upstairs suite has two full baths with showers and a claw foot tub. Towels and toiletry products are not provided.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is permitted on the pavilion deck only. Guests must use provided receptacles for butts. It is not ok to dispose of cigarette butts in the grass, on the grounds, or in animal pens.

Climbing ladders

There is to be absolutely no climbing of the barn ladders at any time. We must be strict about this rule for the safety of you and your guests. Repeat offenders will be asked to leave the grounds immediately.

What time should my guests arrive?

Plan to have your guests arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony. This will allow time for them to use the bathroom, grab a bottle of water, and settle in.

This is especially true if you are planning an outdoor ceremony.

Can we have fireworks? Sparklers? Floating lanterns?

Fireworks and floating lanterns are not permitted. Sparklers are permitted outside of the barn. You must provide containers with sand to safely extinguish and dispose of them. You must provide lighters. Be sure to buy the extra long sparklers and lighters! The shorter sparklers do not last long enough for your photographer to capture the moment.

Can we throw glitter, confetti, flower petals?

You may throw real flower petals only as these will biodegrade. Please no glitter or confetti anywhere on the farm (indoor or outdoors).
