PLANNING GUIDE HOME

timelines

Your photographer will work more with you on your timeline. A couple of factors to think about: are you planning a first look? What time is sunset? How important is it to you to attend your cocktail hour?

Below is a sample timeline from a June wedding.

Keep in mind: You and your vendors are welcome to the barn from 9am (not before). Bar and music must end at 11pm. All guests, family and vendors must have departed by 12am.

Plan to take all your personal belongings, cards and gifts, and leftover food home that evening. Food and alcohol may not be stored overnight at the barn. For more details on this, see the Drop off, Cleanup and Pick up page.

Planning Tip: May - August ceremonies typically start later (4:30 or 5:30pm). September - November earlier (3:30 or 4:30pm).

Planning Tip: Did you know most ceremonies start on the half hour? That’s because it’s considered good luck to be married on the “upswing” of the clock.

Planning Tip: Make sure to schedule and plan for food throughout the day! In all the excitement of getting ready, many couples forget to eat! Nobody wants to be hangry at their wedding! There are lots of options nearby to plan a quick pickup: Giant Eagle (sandwich platters), Starbucks, Chipotle, Subway, etc. Oh, and make sure you hydrate with water!
